Most significant fuse performance leap ever!
Through the different releases of Synergistic Research fuses, the improvements have been dramatic. The performance jump from the original SR20 to Red fuse was big, and the improvements from the Red to the Black were even greater. However, the improvement from Black to the Blue fuse is now the most significant performance leap over all prior SR fuse models to date.
The new SR Blue Quantum Fuse was developed over a two year period and represents our most advanced UEF Technology to date. How do fuses alter the sound of your system? After I fell in love with the SNS, QA and SR plugs I decided to try this fuse.
Just replaced the main glass fuse (one of 5) in my already tuned Marantz NA8005 with this SR blue fuse. Out of the box the sound is better defined, placement of instruments is more precise, the detail that was already there before is now more obvious and easier to hear and as a bonus there is even some more of it! Music is more loose from the speaker and, most surprising, bad recordings sound friendlier and better, as if remastered. Didn't see that coming with my somewhat unforgiving speakers. I didn't think improvements of this level were possible with just one fuse exchange. Nothing short of amazing during the first hours of use, while the burn-in time of this fuse is 200-300 hours.
