Excite SX RCA interconnects start with two 5th Generation Tricon Silver Matrix geometries running in parallel. Then, two hand-made Air String Geometries featuring pure 6-9’s silver conductors in an Air Dialectric were added. For XLR, four Air String geometries for a genuinely balanced XLR cable were used.
On top of that, the same High-Frequency Long Duration Conditioning Process originally developed for the state-of-the-art SRX cable loom was applied to the Excite SX. The same conditioning process that elevates those Purple Fuses making it the world’s highest performance fuse for audio applications. Each Pair of Atmosphere Excite SX Interconnects are actually 2 separate runs of Tricon 4th Gen cables RCA -or- 4 separate runs Tricon 4th Gen cables XLR plus 4 Sealed Air Dielectric Silver cables RCA -or- 8 Sealed Air Dielectric Silver cables XLR plus one Level 1 OTSP (Outside The Signal Path) UEF Field Filter for RCA or XLR interconnects.
To lower Excite SX’s noise floor and to improve musicality, new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning discs were added internally at strategic points along the cable shield and inside the connectors for increased resolution without harshness or loss of high-frequency air and extension. Excite SX is also equipped with grounding wires that allow you to connect the shields of the cables to an outboard ground point and are supplied as standard. The ability to separate the cables shields from your components means noise picked up along the shield is bypassed from your system’s components to house ground for a lower noise floor and improved holography. For a lower noise floor still, ground your cable’s shields to an optional Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block. Lastly, we make voicing Excite SX to your system easy with an included Galileo SX Gold UEF tuning bullet. Simply listen to the cable with and without the Galileo SX Gold Tuning Bullet and pick the option that makes music in your system.
After perfecting the most natural-sounding and holographic cables in SR history, they were taken further with a new high voltage conditioning process that applies a sweeping frequency plot for an extended duration. Experiments with dozens of frequencies in different combinations over a prolonged period of time were carried out before landing on just the right mix. A new Tesla Coil was built to handle the excess heat generated during long conditioning sessions. Once finalized, the SRX conditioning process created holographic realism and timbrel accuracy far beyond the previous Tesla Coil conditioning protocol.
